When you get settled into your new home in Las Vegas, you may want to take some time and experience the culture of the area.
The Visual Arts in the region are spectacular and stunning. You won’t experience many other places with such a visually rich atmosphere.
If you’re an art lover, you’ll be pleased to know there is an active arts scene in Las Vegas, including the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, the Lied Discovery Children’s Museum and the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, all of which feature impressive collections.
There are more than 90 art galleries located throughout the region, each exhibiting traditional and contemporary art styles....So, where do you start?
Art Immersion
An excellent way for newcomers to learn about the local arts scene is to head downtown on the first Friday of the month (which is aptly named “First Fridays”).
Centered at Charleston and Main Street in the heart of the Downtown Arts District, First Fridays are filled with arts, entertainment and social events featuring an eclectic mix of shows, from art exhibits to theatrical presentations, musical performances and poetry slams.
Visitors can listen to live local bands play throughout the evening ,“people watch”, sample new restaurants, visit diverse shops and check out attractions.
